UNIFORMS

 

School uniforms are worn beginning in First Grade and can be purchased at the Red Door.

 

Gym uniforms are worn beginning in Fifth Grade.

 

Preschool and Kindergarten children are to wear clean play clothes.

Hot lunch program available beginning at 11:10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

 

 

 

TAKE HOME THURSDAY

 

We try to send all of the communications (children's paper and other information) home every Thursday.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

 

An after school program, staffed by St. James faculty, is offered at the school on days when school is in session.

 

It runs from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and may be used on either a full-time or part-time basis.

 

 

 

ST. JAMES DAY CARE CENTER

 

St. James has a state licensed Day Care Center available for its parishoners. The center offers full-time care for

 

children from age 6 weeks to kindergarten. The center operates on a 12-month schedule from

 

6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Before school care is available at the center for St. James School students.

 

 

 

PARENTAL PARTICIPATION

 

Parental support and participation are vital to ensure the success of our programs and our school. Parents are

 

needed as volunteers in various capacities and events throughout the school year, some of them being:

 

* Parent /Teacher Tea.

 

* School Board - Consists of 11 parent representatives.

 

* Athletic Board - Consists of 11 parent representatives.

 

* Family Night - Held during Catholic Schools Week - All families are invited to spend an evening out at

 

St. James Place. Includes programs by the children and displays.

 

* Room Mothers.

 

* Cafeteria Helpers.

 

* Snow Blossom Dance Committee Members.

 

* Parish Festival.

 

* Athletic Board Activities - All funds needed to support the athletic programs are generated by various fund

 

raising projects during the year.

 

* Womens Society.

 

* Library.
